Easy Swedish reader: the people of Sweden

Sverige är ett stort land, men det bor inte så många människor här. Sverige har över tio miljoner invånare. Många bor i de tre stora städerna: Stockholm, Göteborg och Malmö.

Människor i Sverige kommer från hela världen. Många kommer från andra länder, till exempel Syrien, Polen och Somalia. I skolan läser alla barn engelska, och många svenskar talar engelska mycket bra.

Hemma talar många familjer två eller tre språk. Sverige har också fem nationella minoritetsspråk, till exempel finska och samiska.

Sweden is a big country, but not that many people live here. Sweden has over ten million inhabitants. Many live in the three big cities: Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.

People in Sweden come from all over the world. Many come from other countries, for example Syria, Poland and Somalia. At school all children study English, and many Swedes speak English very well.

At home, many families speak two or three languages. Sweden also has five national minority languages, for example Finnish and Sami.
